I caught the bug for breeding dachshunds in the late 90’s while living in germany, and the rest is history…
my story
My late husband gave me my first Dachshund, Schatzi, and from then on, that was it. The Dachshund became my breed of choice. I love their sweet, loyal, and playful personalities. Plus, the long-haired breed is pretty much a lapdog, since they would rather be with their human, than out hunting. In general, they are very laid-back dogs. I brought Schatzi back to Florida, where I had my first litter. One of the female pups (Selke) went back to Germany where she competed in the European Breed shows and she was best in show several times.
Since then, I’ve become very particularly interested in the Piebald’s. And, have searched many years for my current pair; who are also my personal dogs that go everywhere with me. I have loved the experience of having puppies in my house, and they might actually be my most favorite things on earth.
